Baptism

There is nothing magical about baptism or the water we immerse you in. Loudoun County water can't wash your sins away and baptism is not what "gets you into heaven." However, it is an important step in spiritual maturity.

Throughout the New Testament, it is clear that the salvation experience was promptly followed by baptism.

Baptism is an outward show of the inward work that has been completed in you, upon confession of the Lord Jesus Christ. It symbolizes your new life as a Christ follower. The old has gone and the new has come. Not only does the Bible command us to be baptized, but Jesus himself was water baptized. We are simply following his example in doing the same. It is the next step after meeting Jesus personally!

"When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized..." Luke 3:21

"And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord." Acts 10:48

We require all candidates for baptism to take a short 45-minute class on the baptism.
